Games
One of my most burning passions is developing games. Thinking about user experience and coding things into life is very close to being the best thing ever (being only second to the feeling of doing abstract mathematics and spontaneuosly stumbling upon its application).
Development
When I develop something I pay close attention to how people interact with it; Where do they struggle? What doesn't make sense to them? Sometimes the problem is obvious, but other times it requires a lot of digging to find the root of the problem.
Engine
Most of my games are made in Unity, the precise version varies a lot, but I am quite a big fan of Unity 6. However due to the recent policies and proven unreliability of this platform I have been slowly trying to switch to Godot, which I see a lot of potential in. My first game made in Godot is Fish Against Industrialization.
Art and Visuals
I have a variety of programs I use, and as such it would be easiest to portray them in a table:
Program | Purpose |
---|---|
Figma | User Interface, Vector Graphics, Image Editing |
Aseprite | General purpose pixel art |
Piskel | For when I need to make a quick edit to a pixel art |
Blender | General 3D modelling software |
Blockbench | Low poly pixelated 3D models ("Minecraft style" ig...) |
MagicaVoxel | For creating voxel art (also "like Minecraft"...) |
